Jewish Navy
The Jewish Navy was formed in July of 1995 with a meeting of 16 boaters who were interested in enjoyable companionship, informative friends, and pleasures afloat. Known also as the Potomac Yacht Club, the Club has attracted members from New Hampshire to Florida, with most members coming from Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. While the roster tops 100 members, the Club has a friendly core of 30 active sailors cruising the Chesapeake Bay. Making the Club our home on the water and an important place on our social calendar were two of our original desires. New members are welcomed to join in the fun at our cookouts, raftups, Bay wide cruises, and off-season meetnings with stimulating speakers. We want to let everyone know we are not just about food, fun, and frivolous behavior, but that we are serious about discussing wondrous theories like, "Is one Nobel Prize so much to ask from a child after all we've done?"
